Welcome to the Built in Iowa Podcast!

On Today's episode we have Teeg Stouffer, Co-Founder of American Association of Event Professionals.

Teeg brought the energy to today's episode!  Teeg co-founded AAEP in late 2019 with his two co-founders.  Teeg currently resides in Cedar Rapids, IA, and his two other co-founders are remote as they are building this national organization.  AAEP is a national association of event and experiential marketing.  A good example of experiential marketing is the Oscar Meyer wiener mobile as it goes from town to town to bring experience and brand awareness to buy Oscar Meyer products.  AAEP was founded to serve brand ambassadors within experiential marketing to provide stability and accountability to the industry.  AAEP is being bootstrapped to start and they are currently in startup mode!

Teeg got his start originally in radio and lived in England and around the United States.  Teeg and his wife abruptly quit their jobs and packed a few suitcases and traveled the country for two years working and producing events.  They ended up setting in the Pacific Northwest, then moved back to Iowa to settle down.  Teeg also founded Recycled Fish in 2003 that is the de-facto organization for the sport of ice-fishing.  Teeg had great advice for new founders and that is to ask for help when you are building!
