On today’s episode we have Drew Allen, VP of Strategic Development of Grace Engineered Products and CEO of Percev.
Grace Engineered Products is located in Davenport, IA. Grace prides themselves in making maintenance smarter, safer, and more productive. They also have three distinctive product lines. Grace was founded in 1999 as a spin-off of their main business, which was system integration. Grace’s facility in Davenport is 45,000 square feet, and they currently have 45 employees. Grace Engineered Products currently has a revenue range of $15 Million to $20 Million. Grace sells to fortune 2000 industrial companies like Alcoa and Procter & Gamble.
Grace is a family-owned business and Drew is the 2nd generation. Drew talks about the importance of communication to have a successful family-owned organization. They enrolled themselves in the Loyola Family Business Center to work on communication and setting boundaries. Drew skipped two grades in high school and enrolled early in Augustana College in Rock Island, IL. After college, Drew moved to Hong Kong to work for 3M. His mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, so Drew and his wife moved back to the Quad Cities and Drew began working at Grace.
