Motherhood: The Greatest Interrupter. Or is it Us? We Should Talk About That.
Play • 33 min

In this episode JessB gets really honest and uncomfortable as she admits that, while she loves her children with all her heart, she is often conflicted with the need to create and 'do her own thing' which means her children have to fend for themselves sometimes! JessK gets equally uncomfortable as she examines her mothering style and the two Jess(es) dive in deep on the theory of 'The Good Enough Mother' by Dr. D.W. Winicott, British pediatrician and psychoanalyst. Together, they approach an incredibly challenging  and often sensitive topic and in their totally authentic style, examine their tendencies toward perfection and the need for control as real causes of the 'mental load.'
