In Part 1 of this 2 part podcast, Dr. Jay Reznick and Dr. John Roberson discuss mental and team preparation for surgery and address the surgical complication of bleeding.
Dr. Reznick is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He received his undergraduate Biology degree from CAL-Berkeley, Dental degree from Tufts University, and his M.D. degree from the University of Southern California. He did his internship in General Surgery at Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena and trained in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at L.A. County- USC Medical Center.
His special clinical interests are in the areas of CT guided dental implant planning and surgery, and its integration with other digital technologies, such as CAD/CAM and 3D printing. He frequently lectures at continuing education meetings, and has published in a number of dental and medical journals.
Dr. Reznick is one of the Founders of the website OnlineOralSurgery.com, which educates practicing dentists in basic and advanced oral surgery techniques. He is the Director of the Southern California Center for Oral and Facial Surgery in Tarzana, California.
Dr. John B. Roberson received his B.S. from the University of Southern Mississippi, his dental doctorate from the University of Mississippi and his Oral & Maxillofacial surgery training from the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Dr. Roberson writes and lectures extensively on the subject of Medical/Sedation Emergencies and Emergency Drugs in the Dental Office. He has been selected as a CE Leader for Dentistry Today for over 10 years consecutively. He currently is CEO and Co-Founder of AAFDO (Accreditation Association For Dental Offices) which has numerous inspection and emergency preparedness programs dedicated only to Dentistry. He was the Co-founder and CEO of the Institute of Medical Emergency Preparedness which was an online medical emergency program for dentists and their staff.
He has copyrighted multiple programs and courses for the field of Dentistry and is widely published.
