Watch’ list and is an award winner for her contributions to industry journal ‘Communicator’.
Sally and Helen joined forces during the pandemic and founded Be The Future, which inspires
parents of young children to raise heroic leaders for environmental change, drawing on
storytelling, behavioural science and positivity.

Re-imagining the kettle - Heatle Co-Founder Wachtang Budagaschwili
Wait! Before you put the kettle on.
Did you know British households waste a total of £68 million each year when boiling their kettles! It begs the question; how high is this number now, confined as we are to our homes, in close proximity to tea?
We sat down with Wachtang Budagaschwili, co-founder of Heatle.
Health is a Berlin-based sustainable kettle alternative solution. Faster, quieter, and more efficient, it wastes only 6% of the energy it uses. For each model sold, they plant 50 trees. Eco-campaigners for a greener future, they’re bringing science and the environment together, brewing up what could replace one of our most relied-upon devices.
The best kettles on the market to this date still waste around 30% of this non-recyclable energy, making them bad for the environment, and especially harmful in the long term.

Today I’m joined by 4th generation organic farmer Oliver Surman of Pegoty Hedge. Pegoty Hedge is a mixed organic farm and since 2008 Pegoty Hedge started producing small-batch organic prepared meals packaged in recycled and recyclable packaging. As farmers, they understand how important the land is to their livelihood and the populations so they make sure their practices tread lightly on the planet. They have large areas of the farm set over to species-rich planting specifically to encourage and protect wild birds, bees, insects, and butterflies. The best beer for the planet? Freestar co-founder Eddy Dallas
In this episode, you’ll hear my conversation with one of the three founders of Freestar, Eddy Dallas.
Freestar is a bold and flavourful alcohol-free beer and is the first ever B Corp certified alcohol free beer brand in the world.
When developing Freestar, Dallas and his co-founders Felix & Charlie chose to go against the trend of big breweries who produce de-alcoholised versions of existing brands that aren’t good for people and planet. They went back to the drawing board and designed a new way of brewing whilst keeping sustainable practices in mind. The result is a drink that is packed full of flavour, emits 90% less CO2, uses 80% less energy, uses 80% less water and ends up with 70% less waste than normal alcohol-free beer production.

Plastic Oceans - Jo Ruxton
Episode 12 of the Kind Community Show with film producer and plastic pollution campaigner, Jo Ruxton.
Jo began her work in marine conservation back in 1990 when she joined WWF in Hong Kong to begin their Marine Conservation Programme During her time at WWF, she was instrumental in bringing in new legislation and setting up four Marine Protected Areas.
Jo was also a lead member of the BBC Natural History Unit’s diving team and has been producing and directing underwater sequences since the first days of filming on the award-winning Blue Planet series in 1997. During her 12 years at the BBC, she was involved in numerous underwater films from Antarctica to the pristine reefs of the Caribbean and the Pacific Ocean for the BBC and Discovery Channel.
After leaving the BBC, and learning about the plastic problem in 2009, Jo decided to combine both careers and produced a documentary feature, A Plastic Ocean. The film was released globally in January 2017.
