What is AF Pararescue?
Play • 58 min

On this week’s episode of the Ones Ready podcast we take a deep dive into everything Pararescue.  You’ll know some of the differences between PJs and 18Ds from an aspect of clinical medicine versus trauma.  Pararescue has a wide array of mission set they can cover down on.  Anything from high angle rescue, swift water rescue, extraction, CSAR, and anything Personnel Recovery related.  Pararescue epitomizes the "jack of all trades, master of none" saying, but let's be real here...there is no one better at high angle rescue, swift water rescue, and extrication that PJs!  Please enjoy the episode and give us your feedback. If you liked it and feel so inclined, please leave us a review.  If we didn’t answer your questions, please let us know, and thank you for your support!

MOTW #74: Discipline vs Motivation
Mike Simpson has served over three decades in the military as an Airborne Ranger, a Special Forces Operator, and finally as a Doctor of Emergency Medicine assigned to the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). Throughout his career, Mike has deployed to 17 different countries, from counter-narcotics operations in the jungles of South America, to the Global War on Terror (GWOT) in Southwest Asia and North Africa. Jason Van Camp: Green Beret, Chairman at Mission Six Zero, Executive Director at Warrior Rising, Author of Deliberate Discomfort
Living in a world of risk sums up the life of this week’s incredible guest, Jason Van Camp. As a West Point graduate, Jason is anything but faint-hearted in his experience as a decorated Green Beret in the U.S. Special Forces, in his business endeavors, and his dedication in helping other veterans unlock their potential and start their own business. He has authored the book: Deliberate Discomfort: How US Special Forces Overcome Fear and Dare to Win by Getting Comfortable Being Uncomfortable. Jason’s will to win and his heart of service to others makes him an epic model of a successful human being.   In this episode you will hear:   If you never quit, you never fail. That journey you’re on – it’s not about trophies – it’s about people, and the journeys you take with those people. The worse experience it is for you, the funnier story it is for everybody else. We put ourselves in deliberately uncomfortable situations so we can get out of our comfort zone and grow. My motivation is to collect as many stories as I possibly can. My mindset has shifted from being selfish to being selfless. It’s hard to find your purpose. I want to help people, I want to make money, I want to do epic shit. Our non-profit – Warrior Rising – helps veterans start their own business. I’m a life-long student – always wearing my white belt. Go do something. Everyone can be a collaborator. Cooperate and graduate. I turned the military decision-making process into a business model.  Choose hard things before hard things choose you.

#008 Eddie Gallagher Retired Navy SEAL Tried for Murder
*Chief Special Operator **Eddie Gallagher* is without a doubt the most controversial Navy SEALs of modern day history, and quite possibly in the entire history of Naval Special Warfare. *Shawn Ryan Show** #008* Chief Gallagher explains in depth how teammates under his command at SEAL Team 7 not only accused him of being a war criminal, but relentlessly tried to send him away to life in prison for the alleged  murder of an *ISIS* fighter in Mosul, Iraq. Eddie walks us through his version on what seemed to be the entire Naval Special Warfare community continuously attempting to take his rank, strip him of his SEAL Trident, and ravage his reputation even after proven innocent. His wife Andrea and son Ryan share their first hand accounts of how the *NCIS* raided their home and strategically wreaked havoc on their family. Warrior Poet Profiles: George Washington
Warrior Poet Profiles: George Washington with instructor John Lovell and Revolutionary War reenactor and political activist William Temple. In this video we discuss George Washington's life and legacy, to include the good and the more controversial. Washington was highly respected as a man of incredible moral character, influence, strength, and fortitude, however, many today would cast judgment on him as a slave owner (and perhaps rightfully so), as well as a few other historical grienances. One thing is certain though, our flickering American Revolution would have been extinguished if he were not there to fight it. Some historians call George Washington the 'indispensable man', fighting against all odds, against the British, Indians, disease, the cold, congress, and allies seeking to supplant him. In the video we see his greatness shine in the freezing plains of Valley Forge, just one year after the colonists had forged the Declaration of Independence in 1776. William Temple is a political activist heavily involved with the Tea Party movement and has appeared on major news networks such as Fox News, CNN, C-SPAN, as well as by Stephen Colbert of the Colbert Report, and Saturday Night Live (SNL). Time Magazine also pictured Mr. Temple. Most recently William Temple was invited to speak at Donald Trump's inauguration to represent the historical personage of Patrick Henry. Some key historical figures and founding fathers discussed in the video: Alexander Hamilton, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Paine, Aaron Burr, Benjamin Rush, John Adams, Marquis de Lafayette, Baron Friedrich von Steuben, Benedict Arnold, Patrick Henry SUBSCRIBE & SHARE this channel: Follow Instructor John Lovell on INSTAGRAM- Follow Instructor John Lovell on FACEBOOK - Follow Instructor John Lovell on TWITTER - Train with John Lovell at Telluric Group by signing up for one of his pistol, rifle, night vision, low-light, room clearing, or other courses here:
