Zonkd is a leading supplier of cut and sewn products as well as services for the global home furnishing industry. On this episode, guest host and NetSuite content marketing manager, Ian McCue, chats with the company’s COO, Ankur Sanghi, to hear how NetSuite has helped the business grow from 30 employees to over 750 in just a few years. Sanghi starts by describing Zonkd (1:44) and how it’s evolved since its founding in 2009 (3:48). He explains how the international business struggled with communication across the organization (11:40), and how running QuickBooks prevented a lack of real-time visibility into data (15:29). The company decided to implement NetSuite to address those obstacles, starting with order-to-cash functionality and then adding NetSuite WMS, manufacturing, MRP, SuiteAnalytics and other functionality over time (18:16). Sanghi says Zonkd has seen major improvements running on NetSuite, most notably giving the company a holistic, end-to-end view of every order as well as improved workflows (22:18). NetSuite OneWorld allows the company to operate subsidiaries in multiple countries seamlessly (26:46) and more easily manage supply chain disruptions (30:17). Zonkd, like many businesses, has become extremely data-driven over the past year and a half, and SuiteAnalytics allows the organization to define and monitor success criteria by key performance indicators (32:18). Finally, as Zonkd heads toward a future that’s focused on verticalization, shortening its supply chain and growing its ecosystem of vendors, Sanghi says NetSuite offers the insight, data and flexibility to get there (37:00).
