The channel, whose full name is Cable News Network Türk, started its broadcasting life in 1999. It is one of Turkey's popular news channels. There are news programs and programs with up-to-date information in the broadcast stream. During the first period of broadcasting, some programs translated from English were broadcast.
From the founding of the channel until 2006, its logo remained in the lower right corner of the screen. In 2006, it moved to the upper right corner and continued in this way until 2010. In 2010, like all other CNN channels, it moved its logo back to the lower right corner. The logo of the channel, which switched to the widescreen broadcast format on September 17, 2012, was reduced on August 2, 2021. In addition, CNN Türk HD channel was established on March 28, 2013 and the HD logo was removed in 2016.
