As co-host of NPR’s “Pop Culture Happy Hour” (and host of the late, lamented “Represent”), Aisha Harris is very tuned in to the politics of contemporary popular culture, and what movies are subtly (or not so subtly) telling us about race, sex, and class. But she also looooooves old movies, even when there are contradictions and hypocrisies to grapple with.
