We've been so conditioned to think about others first, that we've started to believe that prioritizing our own wants, desires, and needs makes us a bad person.
Being selfish is viewed as a negative thing in our society and being labeled as selfless is almost worn like a badge of honor, regardless of what it costs the individual.

Being selfish isn’t always bad and being selfless isn’t always good!
It is actually possible to practice a healthy level of selfishness in your life.
Being healthy selfish is all about meeting your own needs first so that you can show up as your best self, with presence and power in your own life.

4 Tips to Overcome Decidophobia
Ever heard of paralysis by analysis?
It’s basically when over analyzing or over thinking a situation causes forward motion or decision making to be “paralyzed.”
When you end up not even making a decision because you’re so wrapped up in trying to figure out the best option.
Here’s another one for you:
Decidophobia - the fear of making the wrong decision.
It makes sense to weigh your options and consider the risks of making a decision one way or another, but sometimes it can really halt your progress in life when it goes on for too long.
Sometimes, the heaviness of carrying an unmade decision can outweigh the decision itself.
It’s like Steve says, it’s like a little bag you add a stone too every time you think about the decision without making it—over time it gets heavier and heavier.
As soon as you make the decision, you can drop that heavy bag.

I Am vs. I Feel
As we travel through our day to day lives, we all experience a myriad of emotions!
Whether you’re happy, sad, content, angry, frustrated, joyful, or whatever it may be—it’s important to pay attention to how you are expressing that.
Saying things like “I am mad” or “I am frustrated” comes pretty naturally to most of us, but is that the most effective or healthy way to express or think about your emotions?
When we use “I am” statements with negative emotions, we are labeling ourselves as a fleeting emotion, something that we don’t want to be forever.
You are not mad, you feel mad, and though that may not seem like a big difference—changing the way you think about and vocalize your emotions can help you take back your power.

It’s Your Life, Don’t Settle
Society has conditioned us to believe that we can’t have it all. It’s either this or that, not both.
You can have a career OR you can have a family.
You can make a lot of money OR you can have a job you love.
You can have this OR that, you have to choose.
But do we really have to choose? Or can we have this AND that?

Bullying: Taking the high road
We as humans are flawed! It’s what makes us human, and it’s beautiful!
However, it’s pretty natural for us to have insecurities and sensitivities, and there will always be people who capitalize on those things and try to use them against us.
Oftentimes we give too much power to those kinds of people (bullies) and we can tend to let the words of others dictate how we feel about ourselves.
Sometimes bullies are strangers on the internet, but sometimes they can even be our friends or family.
More often than not, bullies are projecting their own insecurities or flaws onto us and either intentionally, or unintentionally hurt us.
So how do we ‘block the haters’ and move forward, loving ourselves with all our imperfections?

How to Put in 5% More Effort and Get 95% More Results
If you don’t take care of the first dandelion that makes its way into your yard, pretty soon you’ll have a whole field of them, right?
You’ve got to nip it in the bud!
The same thing applies with a lot of difficulties, challenges, or even just tasks we’re presented with in our lives.
Whether it’s in your relationships, your job, or at home, we all have those things that sit in the back of our brain nagging away and causing us to worry and stress. Over time they get built up in our minds as this huge roadblock we have to overcome and it can be overwhelming.
In reality, most of these issues can be taken care of with 5% effort if we “nip it in the bud!” If we can learn to dedicate 5 minutes here and there as problems arise, they won’t become a 5 hour issue down the road!

Awareness VS Fear
Kass and Steve talk about how to deal with the fear of the unknown. And how to differentiate between fear, worry, and awareness. Fear can be paralyzing, when you don’t know from one thing or the other you tend to lean towards fear and worry. Worrying about what could happen is different than being aware of the things that could happen. Do you see the difference? Worrying paralyzes you, awareness educates you.
When you think about your fear, does the fear measure up to the possibility of that thing you are worried about happening? The solution to overcome the fear is a lot easier than living with the fear and worry. When trying to make yourself aware, you have to make sure that you don’t go down the rabbit hole of reading and listening to everybody so that it turns into worry and fear.

If You Could Turn Back Time
If you could turn back time and undo one thing, would you? What would you undo?
On this week's episode, Kass and Steve ask the question: what is one thing you did that you wish you could take back? What is the first thing that comes to your mind? Working Out is Hard for Us Too
You read that right. Contrary to popular belief, they don’t love to work out. With Zumba Fitness, their job had forced them to stay in shape and ‘embrace the suck’ that can be working out everyday.

What do You See in the Mirror?
How many times a day do you look in the mirror? What are you thoughts when you do?
Does your mind start going towards the negative? Do you tell yourself that your hair is, skin, body, clothes, etc. aren't good enough? Do positive thoughts about yourself appear after the negative ones have made their way into your mind? Have you ever stopped to wonder what you see when you look in the mirror is not what your best friend thinks when they see you?
When you start telling yourself the negative things, figure out where they came from in the first place. Why did this thought start? There are so many limiting self beliefs that can make themselves known even in grade school. Watch your thoughts when something doesn’t go right, watch where those thoughts spin. Where did that come from? Why live this long with those thoughts when you can change your mindset on how you see yourself? It is such a freeing way to live!

What is your biggest fear?
