Weather Gods is a specially commissioned performance work written and performed by Isadora Epstein. Accompanied by musicians Davy Kehoe, Daniel McAuley and Ailbhe Nic Oireachtaigh and artist Stéfane Béna Hanly, Epstein has created a performance combining a mythological weather report with a train trip out West on the Great Western Railway. With live musical performances from the titular weather gods, featuring original scores and some familiar favourites, this work is somewhere between art performance and a memorable theatre piece.
The Law is a White Dog is a podcast series developed for TULCA Festival of Visual Arts, 2020. Made during a global pandemic, the series places artists and artworks in dialogue with lawyers, advocates and activists. Artists in the programme are invited to consider how their works relate to legal processes such as bearing witness, giving testimony, granting pardon, lodging complaint, forming contracts and presenting evidence. As a festival of visual art produced in a time of confinement and restriction for many, the podcast series explores unseen dimensions of the artists’ work.
TULCA Festival of Visual Arts promotes the development of contemporary visual arts culture through a national and international network of artists, audiences, curators and art critics.
