Israel, Palestine, and the Socialist Solution

The Racist Terror of Tulsa 1921
On May 31, 1921, 100 years ago, a mob of enraged white vigilantes descended on Tulsa's black district of Greenwood, slaughtering hundreds of black people—the largest mass killing since the Civil War. These events are a tragic example of how American capitalism uses the poison of bigotry to “divide and rule.” Once unleashed on the world, the monster of racism took on a life of its own and has left many corpses in its wake.

This weekend, Socialist Revolution editor Antonio Balmer addressed a meeting of our British section, Socialist Appeal. He explained that the storming of Capitol Hill by a mob of Trump supporters on January 6 is a graphic illustration of the deep crisis of American bourgeois democracy and American capitalism. The George Floyd Uprising and the Struggle against Police Terror
The George Floyd uprising this summer was the largest protest movement in US history. Starting in Minneapolis, it spread to thousands of cities and towns across the country, with 10% of the population participating. Lessons of the 1934 Minneapolis Teamsters' Strike
From May to August of 1934, Minneapolis was rocked by a strike that would forever change the course of US labor history. This was the strike of Teamsters Local 574, a union led by Trotskyists. Today, as the US working class regains its pulse after decades of lull in the class struggle, these events can provide us with many practical lessons for how labor can fight back and win through militant action. Uprising in the US

Racism, Police Violence, and the Socialist Revolution
The cold-blooded murder of George Floyd by Minneapolis police is yet another horrific act of racist violence against an unarmed black man in broad daylight. This has yet again sparked protests across the country, showing that people are fed up with the systemic racism of the capitalist system.
When the great revolutionary martyr Malcolm X said, “You can’t have capitalism without racism,” he summed up a profound truth about the world we live in. Boston Nurses on the Frontlines
