Why athletes who write a book have a stronger athlete brand, featuring author Dan Good
Today’s guest is author Dan Good. He is a longtime journalist and book ghostwriter. His biography of baseball star Ken Caminiti was published by Abrams Press in May and has been nominated for a Casey Award as one of the year's best baseball books.

NIL opportunities and education for student athletes, featuring Dr. Eric J. Simeon
Our guest in this episode is Dr. Eric J. Simeon. He currently serves as a higher education consultant and researcher, as well as an agent advisor, and has worked in various aspects of higher education for 20 years. He has held multiple student affairs positions at diverse universities around the country, including in campus life, residence life, and as a mentor for student athletes at Power 5 conference universities.
He has been affiliated with urban and rural institutions of all sizes; multiple Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs); and has an expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as NIL and sports marketing. What athletes can learn from sports broadcasters
In this episode, Greg Glynn talks with fellow hockey play-by-play broadcaster Mike Keeley from the Maine Mariners about a wide range of topics including, tips for athletes who want to build their brand and explore broadcasting as a career.
Michael Keeley has been the Media Relations and Broadcast Manager of the Maine Mariners since the team first began in 2018. He serves as the radio play-by-play announcer for the team in addition to handling most of the PR, communications, and media duties within the organization. Michael has been broadcasting sports for over 10 years, getting started with NCAA DIII hockey in 2009, as a freshman at SUNY Oswego. He received his B.A. in Broadcasting and Mass Communication from Oswego in 2013.
Prior to Maine, Michael spent four years working in the NAHL with the Keystone Ice Miners (Connellsville, PA) and Austin Bruins (Austin, MN) while also covering baseball for the Northwoods League's Rochester Honkers (Rochester, MN), where he was named “Announcer of the Year” in 2017.

Paratriathlon athlete Steve Lovelace shares his inspirational athlete story
In this episode, we’re talking about the incredible athlete story of Steve Lovelace and what it takes to overcome incredible adversity and injury to become a paratriathlon pioneer.
In 1982, Steve was a healthy athletic college freshman ready to make my mark on the world. Little did he know that shortly after his fist year of college he would be involved in a near death accident that left him paralyzed below the waist.
Three years after his accident he went on to became the second-ever disabled athlete to complete a quarter Ironman triathlon. He became pioneer of triathlon/paratriathlon in 1986 when the sport of triathlon was in its infancy.
Due to his humble nature, Steve didn't share much from his endeavors back in the 80's because as a disabled athlete he feared that he would not be allowed to compete. He says there were very few disabled athletes to emulate, unlike today. Now Steve is one of them and shares how he blazed his own trail and nothing was going to stand in his way.

Today’s guest is Katie Krall, Development Coach with the Boston Red Sox. Krall is in her first season in uniform and coaches 1st base, integrates data into player plans, oversees advance scouting and pitch design for the Red Sox AA affiliate the Portland Sea Dogs.

NIL Opportunities for College Athletes: Advice from Mckenna Haz of SEAAV

Today’s guest is Emma Tiedemann, Director of Broadcasting for the Portland Sea Dogs. Emma joined the Sea Dogs in March 2020, becoming just the fifth lead broadcaster in Sea Dogs history.
She spent the previous two seasons as the Director of Broadcasting & Media Relations for the Lexington Legends, where she called back-to-back South Atlantic League Championships.
In 2019, she was honored as the South Atlantic League Media Relations Director of the Year. During the off-season in Kentucky, she served as the voice of Morehead State University Women's Basketball on ESPN and radio. Emma continues to call basketball in the off-season for the University of New England and is a fill-in producer for the Maine Celtics (G-League).
