In an active and fierce community outside Tampa Bay, Florida, Joanie Hempsworth and her wife run a new and used bookstore called The Paperback Exchange. And through her work, activism and the books she keeps on the shelf, she hopes to start hard conversations in her community to help bring people together. She's faced off with hard-core religious protestors and she's also had MAGA hats in her store, but her hope is to dispel bigotry, educate the public and give back. It's PRIDE month, and the letters from LGBTQ+ are growing, and she says, let's keep adding on.
