How do you respond when someone who has hurt you proclaims faith and salvation in Christ? The reaction we have to those who are new Christ is an important aspect to look at in our Christian walk. Do we embrace the new found freedom from sin the person has gained? Or do we look at them with a suspicious eye, questioning their motives and feeling like they been too far gone to ever come to know God’s love?
In today’s episode, Patrick examines the second half of the Parable of the Prodigal Son and encourages us all not to take the attitude of the second son in the story. We must do all we can to make those lost who have come home into God’s family feel welcome and loved.
31 “‘Son,’ he said to him, ‘you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. 32 But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’” Luke 15:31-32
