Founded in 2012, Transcend was the first parent-led peer support network and information hub for transgender children and their families in Australia. They provide a safe and inclusive space for parents and carers; community connection; medical, social, educational and legal information and resources, and much more. This episode of Every Musical Ever was recorded on Gadigal and on Noongar Whajuk land. This land was never ceded by its traditional custodians, but was taken through violence, criminality, and other human rights abuses of the worst kind. The atrocities of colonialism are an unresolved injustice in need of redress. We support the goals of the Uluru Statement from the Heart, and call for the urgent implementation of the reforms it sets out as a starting point for the reparation of wrongs done to First Nations people, both historically and through to the present day. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
