In this episode of  ‘Now What’,  we talk about the economic power of the black and brown community and share examples of how we wield this power. 

Episode Summary:

The  episode spotlights a use case where a community would no longer tolerate disrespect from a business. The community enacted a boycott and eventually made the business owner sell his business. We discuss the specifics of this use case and give our thoughts on the tactics used.

We announced to our listeners that Now What is officially a business, and we are adopting a “buy black and brown” approach to our business dealings.  

We educate listeners on the buying power of the black and brown community, and ask our listeners to think about where they will spend their money in 2021.

The episode closes with a Key talking about his “Banking Black” journey with OneUnited Bank and Diane discusses a situation where she was looking for a non-white accountant or booker-keeper.
