I'm Chaplain Jared and I work as a hospice chaplain and an ICU chaplain, my purpose in making this podcast is to help you find more peace in your life and to be more open for your heart to be changed by the Spirit of God. By using centuries old form of Christian Meditation named Lectio Divina:

Outline: Relaxation, Reading, Meditation, Prayer, Contemplation and Visualization.

Get into a place where you can sit comfortably and uninterrupted for about 20 minutes. You should hopefully not be driving or anything tensing or unrelaxing. If you feel comfortable to do so, I invite you to close your eyes.

Guided Relaxation / Guided Meditation:

Breathe and direct your thoughts to contacting God. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate, deflate.

Bible verses for Meditation:

1 Cor 1:4-9 NIV 4 I always thank my God for you because of his grace given you in Christ Jesus. 5 For in him you have been enriched in every way—with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge— 6 God thus confirming our testimony about Christ among you. 7 Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed. 8 He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

KJV 4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ; 5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; 6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you: 7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ: 8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.

Meditation on Scripture:

Paul opens his letter to the Corinthians with this frank thanks from His heart. Paul gives gratitude that the people he was writing had come to embrace the grace of Jesus. It is a profound demonstration of his serving heart. Gods grace for others can be a profound blessing. In fact as we come to embrace the love of God the positive feelings we feel at the blessings of others can be enhanced and can lead to some of the deepest joys possible.

The challenge is also that it can be very difficult to have such positive experiences with those whom we don’t share easy relationships with. I am extremely aware that even loving people can have complex feelings for some people. This includes their own families. Holiday times can be exceptionally challenging for many people who either are not able to be close to loved ones due to distance or death. Similarly it can be difficult when it is possible to gather and stress and emotion fill the air.

In this moment, may we strive to hold compassion for others in our hearts, specifically for those who we struggle with. It is not necessary to embrace the stress and negative emotions of others. The goal should be to pour out positive intention by the way of God’s grace. Spend a moment with this intention.

Meditation of Prayer:

Pray as directed by the Spirit.

Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him.

Meditation of God and His Glory / Hesychasm:

I invite you to sit in silence feeling being patient for your own faults and trials.

Summarize what insights you have gained during this meditation and meditate and visualize positive change in your life: This is a listener funded podcast at patreon.com/christianmeditationpodcast

Updates:

Final Question: What can you do to help keep the waters clean for others?

Final Thought: The analogy is not complete. In other words there is nothing that you or I can do to truly muddy Jesus. He has already risen above our sin and carelessness through his Atonement. The metaphor I am applying is that there are things that make it hard for others to follow God and partake of the life giving water. We should be willing to take a look in the mirror and stop those things.

Winning Isn’t Everything—Jesus Is: Tony Dungy and Sam Acho
We live in a world where achievement is largely used as a motivator, and much of our time is spent consumed, looking for the next win—whether it be personally or professionally. It would benefit each of us to remember that in the long term, the ultimate win for us is establishing a relationship with Christ. Tony Dungy, the first African-American head coach to win an NFL Super Bowl, learned from mentors early on in his career that football wasn’t all that mattered—what mattered was the kind of man he was and the kind of men he shaped. A trailblazer, Dungy found a way to coach that aligned with his Christian values, showing the world that you can hold strong to your beliefs and find value in who Christ says you are, rather than who the world wants you to be. NFL linebacker and author Sam Acho grew up in a faith-based home, forming a relationship with God early on. But as he got more integrated in his career, Sam began to separate from his foundational values, and he suffered an identity crisis—he looked happy on the outside, but he didn’t feel it on the inside. It wasn’t until he went through a reckoning of sorts that Sam realized God believed he was worth getting to know, and when he started placing value on what really matters, things started to turn around. You're now getting paid to play football, so that makes it your profession. But please, please don't make football your whole life.” - Chuck Noll, to Tony Dungy “I made a decision I was going to be different. And not everybody was ready for that.” - Tony Dungy “You can honor the Lord and you can be openly expressive about your faith and still be excellent.” - Tony Dungy “God takes you through things and you grow from them and then you look back and say, ‘Oh, that wasn't that big a deal.’ But at the time, it was monumental. God is giving you little trials to get you through, but you're going to keep your focus on Him.” - Tony Dungy “Christ is so much a part of my life that if I can just help steer someone else, anyone towards Jesus, it's very important. Truth always wins. And we can't be afraid of sharing the truth.” - Tony Dungy “We were created for relationship, we were created to love.” - Sam Acho “You are worth getting to know. Your pains, your joys, your fears, your hurts, all of you. You're worth getting to know. Why? Because you're already fully seen, fully known and fully loved by Jesus.” - Sam Acho ________________________ Enjoy watching these additional videos from Jesus Calling YouTube channel: Audio Playlist: https://bit.ly/2PrbuwH Video Playlist: https://bit.ly/2PsmEkJ What’s Good? Episode 39: United We Stand for Life with special guest Jeanne Mancini.
The pro-life issue isn’t reserved for certain people — it is a fight that concerns us all and one we can all take part in. My heart was convicted of this last year after attending the March for Life for the first time. It’s a day which changed my life.  It’s easy to be in the fight when the current administration is also fighting for life, but there are people and organizations that have been on the front lines even when it’s been hard. One of those people is Jeanne Mancini, the president of March for Life and a fierce pro-life advocate.  In this episode of Fearless I had the privilege of speaking with Jeanne about the organization March for Life, and how it’s actively fighting for the rights of the unborn. I hope you are encouraged to join the fight by attending the virtual March for Life event on January 29, 2021.  marchforlife.com *Scripture Referenced:* 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 *Going Farther:* Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Prayer Line – 888-388-2683, or online: https://lp.billygraham.org/coronavirus-call-line/ Jeanne’s Article in The National Review--https://www.nationalreview.com/2020/12/becerra-would-be-a-radical-pro-abortion-warrior-at-hhs/?itm_source=parsely-api *Websites:* March For Life website -- https://marchforlife.org/ Fearless Website – https://cissiegrahamlynch.com/  Billy Graham Evangelistic Association -- https://billygraham.org/ Billy Graham Radio – www.billygrahamradio.org Samaritan’s Purse – https://samaritanspurse.org/                                                                                                                *Connect with me on **Facebook**, **Instagram**, and **Twitter**:* https://www.facebook.com/CissieGrahamLynch https://www.instagram.com/cissiegrahamlynch/ https://twitter.com/CissieGLynch Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Facebook -- https://www.facebook.com/BillyGrahamEvangelisticAssociation/ Billy Graham Facebook -- https
