On this episode we are going in blind! Normally we discuss spirits with the bottles in front of us and as much information as we can gather about what we are drinking. There are some out there that take a different approach, wanting to know as close to as little as possible about a spirit so they can judge it as objectively as possible. Enter Jon Boyer. Jon is the host of Blind Whiskey Reviews on YouTube, and he joined us on the show to put our blind skills to the test. 6 different spirits in pairs, a throughline in each pair. We tried to guess as much as we could about each spirit, including what it was, where it is from, the proof, the price point, the finish, and of course, what our scores were for each. What follows is not only a fun and insightful conversation, but also a fantastic experiment that revealed times where we completely nailed it and times where we were stumped. You will also learn how Jon conducts his blind reviews and how you can replicate that at home.
