Teekah Lewis
"I turned my head for less than a minute and she was gone. Someone had to pick her up and run out the door." On the evening of January 23rd, 1999, two-year-old Teekah Lewis was abducted from the New Frontier Lanes bowling alley in Tacoma, WA. Teekah's family had been watching the child walk back-and-forth from the arcade just feet away from them, and in the 10-15 seconds that the child was unsupervised that night, she would disappear. Almost immediately, police suspected foul play. Within days, they had become reasonably certain that this was a rare case of stranger abduction... The Attempted Murder & Disappearance of Martha Martinez Maxwell
In April of 1987, authorities in Carter County, Oklahoma found a Watauga, Texas woman on the side of the highway barely clinging to life. She was bound with duct tape, severely beaten, and covered in the blood that had poured from the slit in her throat. The woman was Martha Martinez Maxwell. After doctors at Dallas’s Parkland Hospital saved her life, she dropped charges on the man who’d left her for dead 100 miles from home – her husband, Jeffrey Allan Maxwell. The man, too, manipulated Martha into reconciling with him. Five years later, Martha went missing under suspicious circumstances. And Jeffrey Allan Maxwell’s further crimes, at least some of them, landed him in prison for life 20 years later. The man is suspected, too, in other unsolved Texas disappearances and homicides. ***Sponsored by: SimpliSafe. Visit SimpliSafe.com/Trace for a sixty day free trial and a FREE home security camera. Firstleaf! Visit TryFirstleaf.com/Trace for six bottles of wine for just $29.95 and free shipping!*** In late January, 2002, twenty-three year old Bobby Zajac, twenty-six year old Erin Golla and twenty-nine year old James Springer Jr were preparing to leave the AMF Broadway Bowling Lanes in Littleton, Colorado, when they were seized upon by an armed individual. After robbing the safe, the thief turned into a cold blooded killer, executing all three with a handgun. Moments later he casually walked out of the building, smirking to a witness waiting to pick up Erin before driving off into obscurity. For nearly twenty years police and the families have sought justice, though it has remained elusive. Was this a random robbery gone wrong? A planned attack? Was one of the victims an intended target or could this horrible crime be linked to another series of murders that happened just two months later?
