The Story of Saint Catherine of Siena
This week we moved things outdoors so we could enjoy some of the lovely Kentucky spring that FINALLY decided to show up. We realized that in the midst of all of the huge changes that have been going on with us these past few weeks, we never finished talking about our Lenten commitments so we’re taking some time to reflect on their impact. After that, we chat about the fascinating story of St. Catherine of Siena. We really strive for sincerity and this conversation is probably a good reflection of that because there were lots of things that we had to hash out about this saint. As always, we love to hear from you so please don’t hesitate to drop us a line anytime! What Do You Let Into Your Heart?
In today’s episode, we’re talking about being discerning about the things we allow into our hearts. It’s a learning process - one we will surely never master - BUT we’re figuring out how to listen to those pulls and nudges that help to clue us in along the way. Be it a television show, books, video games, jobs or even people - when have you felt called to remove something from your life that glorified sin?

This Was Not Our Best Episode
Howdy, friends! This week's episode is so awkward. We talk about our week being kinda crummy and the challenge that brings for our Lenten commitments. You'll also hear about our first visit back to Inquiry as RCIA Sponsors and how spending the morning at church refreshed us for the week ahead. It's not our prettiest episode, but if you enjoy transparency then you'll appreciate the reality that some week's are harder than others. <3

Why does the Catholic Bible have more books than the Protestant one?
Welcome back! Thanks for joining us on another episode of the Awkward Catholics. On this week's episode we FINALLY finish our conversion story. We talk about our first confession, our first communion and our saint names. Then we examine the reason that the Catholic bible has seven more books than the Protestant bible. Friend of the show, Steve, helped out with a suggestion for an opportunity to be generous this week. Lastly, we close out talking about another podcast to watch out for in the coming months from us here at The Wayfinder Network. We appreciate each of you for joining us and hope you have a blessed week.

Third Sunday of ADVENTure
Happy Advent! We are heading into week three of Advent and this year it happens to be our last full week of the Advent season. That's because next week we will be celebrating Christmas immediately after the fourth Sunday of Advent - and maybe that's a good thing. This year has been a doozy and we don't know about you but if the birth of our Savior is coming a little quicker than usual, perhaps that is a great way to remember He knows when we need Him the most! In this episode, we continue with our conversion story, talk about Our Lady of Guadalupe, explain why the Advent candle is pink this week and also answer our first listener question!
