Ep 4 - You're Not Really Working 80 Hours A Week
Are you one of those people that brags (or complains) about working "80 hour weeks"?
Our business culture tends to glorify "grinding". Working all day, then bringing our laptop home to work after dinner.
The reality though, for nearly all of us, is we're not actually working "80 hours a week". For a lot of it, we're really just spinning our wheels and going through the motions.
Many of us, if we're honest with ourselves, look back over a long, "busy" week, and struggle to identify what we actually accomplished. How did we move the needle, and what kind of actual impact did we have on our business?
The reality- most of us, even high achievers, have 4 to 5 hours of our BEST WORK every day. We have 4 to 5 hours where we bring our full focus, our full creativity, our full drive. Maybe you're extraordinary and you've got 6-8 hrs in you.
Whatever your true capacity is- it's probably a whole lot less than 80 hours a week. And if that's true, how do you need to rethink your work…
