I was back in Dublin this weekend for Dublin Pride. It was a pretty mental, full-on, non-stop festival of glamour, drinking, music, friends, dancing and more drinking. I was honoured to be asked back by my alma mater, The George to do a set on the night of Pride itself. Craic Out Back returned for a one-off special and it was as fun as I remember it (only without any crash barriers for me to fall off this time around). Afterwards, DJing the closing set was just magical; it felt like I’d never left.
I also put together the music for The George’s Pride float again this year. There was a great crowd on, off, around and beside us all the way from the start to the finish of the route and they were brilliant fun. Because of the new route this year I created a mix that was a bit too long so rather than let it go to waste I thought I’d put it online so you can relive the madness and listen to the bits you didn’t get to hear.
It’s not technically one of my traditional podcasts, it’s more a collection of songs that segue gently into each other. Hope you enjoy it and hope you had a wonderful Pride.
