William Hayes was born and raised on the inner city streets of Philadelphia during a time where gang warfare was running rampant. He is the youngest of 3 and grew up in a single parent home. His mother eventually relocated to Augusta, GA where he finished high school and joined the United States Navy where he served for 27 years.

William has been involved with mentoring youth since he was 19 and is a strong believer in personal development. He used sports as a mentoring tool and coached basketball for over 20 years resulting in numerous Division 1 scholarships and a National ranking for his team.

He has touched the lives of many through his passion for speaking. He has spoken in front of the State Attorney’s Office Diversion Program, the City Rescue Mission, the Reed Education Center Girls’ Summer Camp,  Achievers for Life Program within Duval County Schools, the Evening Reporting Center and Difference Makers Diversion Programs to name a few. He also served as a mentor in the Take Stock in Jax Kids program and the Yearup Program at Florida State College of Jacksonville.

He is an award winning speaker in Toastmasters and has placed at District level competition against some of the best speakers in the state of Florida. William is very passionate about speaking and believes our words are our power.
