On August 7, 2016 Melissa’s life, her whole families life, unexpectedly shattered when her amazing, 21-year old, son Alex died by suicide. Now, her life is permanently divided into “before” and “after”. Surviving the loss of a child is truly unthinkable, but through immense support and focused education she found hope and from there made a choice to turn her pain into purpose. Now, a Certified Master Grief Coach, and healing practitioner, this former Executive Chef traded in her knives for a microphone. With the podcast and coaching, her goal is to bring community and healing to as many suicide loss grievers as she can
She can also regularly be found participating in events as a speaker, healer, volunteer, podcast guest, panelist and grief expert.
