Ep. 2128 - Alana Mathews - The Community Justice Collaborative
Play • 1 hr 18 min

Alana Mathews is a force! She is a mom, wife, Spelman Graduate, a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and an attorney…..whew, say that three times fast! Ms. Mathew is also Founder and CEO of The Community Justice Collaborative. Recognizing the egregious failures in our criminal justice system and the urgent need for change, Ms. Mathews formed The Community Justice Collaborative to provide public education, engagement, and empowerment to improve the criminal justice system to protect victims, reduce crime and recidivism, and improve public safety. Our conversation ranged from Alana’s personal experience with extreme racism to how she continues to mentor and serve young people through the LAW Academy at Florin High School.
