Looking back at Engineering, GSoC and Open Source | Dev-Inspire | Episode 02 with Yashraj Desai
This time around, Sreekesh calls up his fellow mate Yashraj Desai from the Computer Science Department as they talk about their life-changing experiences through the 4 years of Engineering and uncover some secrets to the success story of Yashraj.
We learned how Yashraj started as a newbie in Open Source very early in his Engineering and hopped into trying out Google Summer of Code back in 2020. As we dived deeper into his journey, we get some key takeaways from his experiences in GSoC as a mentor, LFX as a contributor and as a Senior Member at CodeCell VESIT. We are a group of friends who enjoy tech and love to discuss it, so we decided to create a podcast out of this banter. We are nowhere close to what professionals do so we'd really appreciate if you let us get away with some (okay many) of the errors we might've made, especially grammatical errors and redundancy, this is mostly because this is our first episode. We assure you we'll keep improving in the upcoming episodes, so stick around!

In this episode, we discuss the latest hardware launched by Apple earlier this month, the Mac Mini, Macbook Air and the Macbook Pro based on their new M1 SoC. We talk about the details shared on the event and also what we've got to know from other reliable resources (as of recording the episode) about the specifications, performance, the UI, etc. and share our opinion on whether you should consider buying them or not.
We also talk about PUBG Mobile making a comeback in India after being banned for almost 3 months with an entirely new entity called PUBG MOBILE INDIA. This is basically their game based in India and made specifically for the Indian audience. This is arguably the first game ever been launched at this scale with Indians being the only target audience. We discuss what kind of impact this can make on the Indian Gaming Industry and much more!
