Our guest Morgan Godvin spent 5 years addicted to heroin and as a result has an informed perspective of the intertwined systems; treatment, justice, health care, and re-entry that are in need of rapid reform.
These broken systems often encourage people to remain addicted by pricing them out of treatment, or denying essential medicine and access to mental health treatment while imprisoned.
Morgan is now writing a book and studying for the LSAT to pursue a career in advocacy and drug policy reform.
