Ep 25 - Langston Kerman is Handsome and he Helps!
Have you seen Season Two of The Boys on Amazon? Great, right? If you’re a fan, like I am, you might have noticed a very handsome fella playing a sensitive Hawkeye-type hero. That’s my friend, hilarious comedian Langston Kerman. However, like me, he’s more than just good looking. Langston grew up in Chicago and cut his teeth as a comedian in New York City. He’s always been one of those comics whom I just love to watch, because he’s always got an observation I never see coming. This episode went a little long because we GOT INTO IT on this one. As the kids online say, “You love to see it.” THE CALLS: 1) A very drunk person decided to call in and do a horrible Australian accent to tell me to cut the one grey hair in my eyebrow. Thankfully, it led to a hilarious discussion of how our wives make us look better, and how we resist for the sake of our idiot egos. 2) A teacher is torn between teaching and her regard for her own life after her administration decides to reopen classes. Should she go or no? 3) A two-parter from this caller: A) What to have on her pizza, since the world is ending, and B) How can she deal with the rampant angst and anxiety we’re currently enjoying. Listen and get our advice! Also, rate us highly online and tell your friends. Thanks, Mightys! WHAT TO WATCH THIS WEEK: Kathleen and Ron have started watching “The Crown” (Season 4) on Netflix, and are rewatching “Roadies” on Showtime in which Ron plays the part of “Phil,” who is the tour manager of the band in the series.   MISSOURI SECRET SUPER SPREADER HOMECOMING: Kathleen reads an article to listeners about parents in the small town of Rolla, MO hosted an unsanctioned homecoming dance at a local steakhouse, which ultimately forced the local health department to devote all its resources to one fiasco and nudging the high school back to full-on virtual learning.  The event was secretly spread via Facebook, and both Ron and Kathleen make their opinions of the dark side of the social media platform known. CLOSING REMARKS: The Grand Termite tucks in listeners with his famous “Night Night, Termite” wishes, and he and Kathleen head out to play golf.
