Spotify’s TikTok video shorts is changing music discovery For good and has a mUSIC curator I’m already using it so it goes without saying that if TikTok gets banned this is where we’re going to be. Spotify is always looking for ways to capture music culture and get the attention of listeners. With their latest update offering a TikTok like short form video feed in their homepage, they’re making a bold move ahead of a most likely TikTok ban. Artist need to take advantage of this bold new music advertising option by uploading short form video to every track using their Spotify for artist page. Additionally they should be moving their followers from TikTok to their email list and other apps like YouTube. Repurposing all of the video from TikTok is a necessity moving forward so be sure to take a vantage of YouTube shorts, Instagram & Facebook reels and stories. Music is always changing and how we discover music is always an important thing to consider in your music marketing strategy so be sure that you’re staying up-to-date.
