The Beyond Profit Series - Tessa Clarke
Hosted by Mathilde Barge
the talktank is making its grand return this week & we are excited to introduce the firs guest of our new "Beyond Profit" series - Tessa Clarke, a social entrepreneur whose business is basically the definition of 'sharing is caring'!
Tessa Clarke co-founded OLIO, a food-sharing app that now has over 2.5 million users. Together these users have shared 7 million portions of food, which would have otherwise been wasted. She is one of the FoodTech 500 winners and an ambassador for the Meaningful Business 100. Before becoming a full-time entrepreneur, she completed her MBA at Stanford Business School and had a corporate career working in retail, media, financial services, and other industries.
Tessa shared with us her insights on the zero-waste industry and on food consumption in the UK. Moreover, she told us about the enriching power of social entrepreneurship in her life and about how you don't need a revolutionary idea to become an entrepreneur. All you have to do is find a problem that you're really passionate about solving.
Tune in to find out more!
