They tell us, "This is the safest thing to do; this is the most logical and acceptable answer to our problems." Many Christians are deceived into believing the world's answers! The enemy is pressing hard to have us negotiate with the principalities and powers in high places rather than defeat them. But although these powers are present to kill, steal and destroy us, we have the Holy Spirit's power to defeat them! Being a giant slayer is foundational to bringing Jesus' Kingdom to the earth. Series: Cleaning House - I Am Clean - (Pastor Lynn) - 04/11/2021
We complete our series on "Cleaning House." At the launch of this sermon series Pastor Lynn had a dream about all of us participating in a graduation ceremony. In order for us to "walk the line" and receive our degree we had to "clean our dorm." We could not advance until our dorm was clean! The Lord has given us an assignment and has equipped us to do it, but He wants our "house" to be clean! Over the last couple months Pastors David and Lynn have given powerful messages about surrendering areas of our lives to Him! These messages have been anointed by the Holy Spirit. This Sunday, Pastor Lynn will give the final message entitled, "I Am Clean!" This is our declaration regarding our surrender to the Holy Spirit's work. We have cleaned the dorm and it is time to graduate into our new season of power and authority! He has clothed us in new regalia symbolizing the authority he has given to us. He has swept our house clean and filled us with Him! Now we are being promoted to exercise what He has given to us! It is commencement day. He has made you ready! You do not want to miss this day of impartation!

This name of God is found in Exodus 17:15: "Moses built an altar and called it The LORD is my Banner." A banner is used to declare or advertise something. Jehovah Nissi is the name used by God to declare His faithfulness to His children. The name represents every good and perfect gift that comes from our Heavenly Father. His name reveals our identity as sons and daughters of the Most High God. Jehovah Nissi is another name for the powerful saving grace of Jesus Christ and through His final work all the privileges afforded to His children.

We are blessed this weekend to have Dr. Sam Huddleston with us. Besides being a great friend to our pastors, Dr. Sam has served as the Assistant Superintendent of the Northern California and Nevada District Assemblies of God since 2004. He also served as the former founding pastor of Lighthouse Covenant Fellowship in Benicia, California, 1993-2004. The church began in the Huddleston's home with six families.
Graduating in 1980 from Bethany College in Santa Cruz, CA, Samuel and his wife Linda moved to San Rafael, California, where he attended Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary. Sensing a call to youth ministry, Sam accepted a position at Church on the Hill in Vallejo, California, where he served from 1981 to 1988 under Pastor Terry Inman. While there, Pastor Inman encouraged Samuel to further his education and he subsequently enrolled at Azusa Pacific University, eventually earning his Masters Degree in Marriage Family and Child Counseling.

Our new sermon series will address seven key characteristics for making us muscle Christians. If our faith community is to be a muscle church, we need muscle Christians. If we all mature in our faith, the words of the Apostle Paul to young Timothy will ring just as true today as they did when penned centuries ago: "What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus" (2 Timothy 1:13). It was the Apostle Paul who also told the young Corinthian church, "Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ." 1 Corinthians 1:11. As muscle Christians, it is our goal for people to be able to follow our example in both our life and doctrine.
