PREP Athletics is proud to have former UK Wildcat basketball player Tom Heitz on the podcast.  Tom played at UK from 1979-1984.  He backed up two lottery picks in Sam Bowie and Melvin Turpin.  Tom was on the UK 1984 Final Four team that lost to Patrick Ewing and Georgetown.  He was drafted in later rounds by the Indiana Pacers.  Tom also happens to be my uncle!  On this podcast he discusses being on the same recruiting trip to UK as Ralph Sampson, getting kneed in the groin while taking a charge on Charles Barkley on national tv, and being runner up to Mr Basketball in the state of Indiana.

 About Us
Cory Heitz is the Founder and President of PREP Athletics.  He has been helping place players into the right fitting prep schools since 2008.  Cory completed a post grad year himself before playing in a D1 basketball program, so he knows the pressures that players and families face when trying to get to the collegiate level.  That’s why he started this podcast, which is to share his wealth of information to those looking to reach their college basketball goals.
