Before he would revolutionize Amazing Spider-Man alongside John Romita Jr., writer Roger Stern took his ambitions to the pages of Peter Parker: the Spectacular Spider-Man. There he retconned stories of old, delved into Peter’s love life, and put Spider-Man up against new foes that would have ramifications in the comics for years!
