A beautiful conversation with Stephen Larsen, the iconic author and long-time friend of the legendary mythology teacher, Joseph Campbell. He even wrote the definitive biography on Joe as well as a number of other books. We talk about Campbell’s tremendous influence as well as some deeply personal stories. We also talk about the great Carl Jung and the mystery of dreams and synchronicity. This show meant a ton for me because Joseph Campbell was my first life changing teacher and spiritual mentor.
Stephen Larsen is a psychologist and author who, with his wife Robin Larsen, was on the founding board of advisors of the Joseph Campbell Foundation, and also founded the Center for Symbolic Studies, to carry on with the work of Joseph Campbell.
