Ohio adds 4,481 new COVID cases Sunday; 5.2% of Ohioans get first vaccine dose
Ohio added another 4,481 coronavirus cases Sunday, continuing a downward trend of new cases recently. The last time newly reported cases were more than 10,000 was Jan. 7 when 10,251 new cases were reported, according to the Ohio Department of Health. Another low case count was reported Saturday with 5,859 infections. Data is often significantly lower on the weekends. Coronavirus cases may be down, but deaths remain at a high level. 31 and 81 deaths were reported Sunday and Saturday, respectively.
