Legendary baseball player Hank Aaron died Friday in Atlanta. An iconic athlete and trailblazer, Aaron still owned a home in West Palm Beach, making the area his second home after he started coming here in 1963 when the Braves moved their spring training headquarters to Palm Beach County. Aaron broke Babe Ruth's career home run record in the 1970s while dealing with racism from white fans who didn't want to see a Black man hold the record. He was 86 years old. Kushner Companies is seeking county approval to build a 1 million-square foot, Amazon-type distribution facility in unincorporated Delray Beach. For the first time, restaurant Emmer & Rye is selling dried versions of three of these pastas in Whole Foods Markets in Austin, San Antonio and Dallas. Emmer & Rye is not an Italian restaurant, but it’s been known for its house-made pasta since opening in 2015.
