The head of the Berkeley teachers union is facing criticism after a video emerged showing him dropping off his daughter at a pre-school. He had previously argued that schools in the city should only re-open after all teachers have been vaccinated. Three Austin companies have collected a combined $33 million in recent funding deals. Interplay Learning, which offers remote learning for career training in skilled trades, said it has received $18 million to fuel its growth. Meanwhile, Sunroom Rentals, which helps property managers and landlords lease their units, said it has raised $11 million for expansion beyond Austin to other Texas markets. The other Austin company to announce new funding was FloorFound, which provides an online platform that facilitates returns and resales of oversized products for e-commerce retailers. The NFL Draft is approaching, and the Miami Dolphins have the third and 18th overall picks. So what mock draft picks are the most popular for the Dolphins? Well, receiver Ja'Marr Chase is most popular pick with the third overall pick in mock draft with fellow receiver DeVonta Smith coming in second. With the 18th pick, Alabama Najee Harris is favored. The Food and Drug Administration on Saturday approved the vaccine, the first that requires one dose instead of two.

A former NFL and Notre Dame football standout was found dead in Jacksonville Saturday, three days after he was reported missing. His mother said it’s unknown how, when, or why he died. Police have released little information about the condition of 29-year-old Louis Anthony Nix the Third when they found him. His mother, Stephanie Wingfield, said police told her the death didn’t look like foul play was involved, but the rest is a mystery.
