Turia Pitt 'It hurt my ego'
Play • 43 min

Turia Pitt defines the work Inspiring. She's a bestselling author, motivational speaker, engineer, iron woman, podcast host, and loveable badass. Just over 10 years ago, Turia was racing in an ultra-marathon when she was caught in a fire and received burns to 65% of her body, surviving against the odds she rebuilt her life, a life she is now ‘frothing’ about.

In this episode Turia reveals when she feels her sexiest and most beautiful, what she feels when she looks in the mirror, and how she keeps the spark alive in her relationship. Turia and Jess dig deep on why being visibly different and a woman of colour makes her proud to be the poster girl for diversity. Turia says despite living in a culture of toxic positivity, there was a huge silver lining that came after the fire, and it's a beautiful lesson we can all learn from.
