Unless you spent 2021 living under a rock, I’m sure you all heard about the OnlyFans shitstorm that happened last year. Side note, respect to you if you did choose to spend last year under a rock. 2021 sucked! And in August it got even worse, with OnlyFans stating they would be removing all adult content from the site.
So, of course, there was an uproar from both the adult content creators and their fans. Literally millions of them. Following this, OnlyFans back-tracked and decided to suspend the removal of adult creators.
I’m chatting to Vixen Temple. She’s a feminist witch, sex worker, activist, podcast host, writer and performance artist and she is well-versed in the de-platforming of sex workers on the internet.In this episode, we talk about what de-platforming sex on the internet looks like and why it is such a complicated issue.
