In this episode of the Powerful Stories Podcast, we connect with Nedahl Stelio, founder of Recreation Beauty, a clean beauty company specialising in fragrances and oils based in Sydney's Bondi Beach.

Nedahl ’s journey of transforming her side-hustle into a multi-million-dollar business started 10 years ago. After going through years of unexplained infertility, she researched the impact of nasty chemicals on our bodies. Trusting her gut instinct, she took made a life-long commitment to cut out nasty chemicals. While doing this she discovered that perfume was the only product she could not replace with a natural alternative. So, while she was the editor of Fairfax's health section and Good Food, Nedahl started the two-year process of developing her own line of natural perfumes.

Tory always says, ‘You know you have a real business when your customers are not just your friends. ‘Beauty brands are all about trust and credibility,’ says Nedahl, ‘I have so many people testing my products. It is something I am so passionate about.’

After falling pregnant and building a recognised successful brand – how does Nedahl keep the balance of life? She says, ‘I’ve always been about lifestyle – sometimes you need to let go and learn how to slow down. It is just as important as working hard.’
