Remembering Andrew Walls

This week I was privileged to talk David Smith about his former teacher, Professor Andrew Walls. I’ve already paid tribute to Professor Walls here, but David is far more qualified than I am to talk about the impact of his life and work.

In the conversation David mentions his own book on Lament, Stumbling Toward Zion, which I reviewed here.

Books by Andrew Walls:

In the interview, David referred to Andrew Walls’ essay, the Gospel as Prisoner and Liberator of Culture which can be downloaded here.

Whether you agree with him or not on a variety of issues, Andrew Walls is the most important Christian writer of the last fifty years. In direct contrast to much Western Christian literature his focus is global and it points to the future. In an increasingly multicultural world, Christian leaders need to engage with him.

The Kouyanet blog, podcast, videos and downloads are distributed (for the most part) free of charge in the hope that they will be of use to those who are interested in mission, theology and the world church.
