What we feed our mind directly impacts how we feel and what we do. That’s why it’s so important to know how to get rid of stinkin’ thinkin’ BEFORE we can figure out, “What do you do when you can’t get away from you?”
There's One Person Who Loves Your Isolation
His name is Satan. The devil loves to find isolated people and stir it up real good…telling you things like “Don’t stand for that" or "You don’t deserve to be treated that way. Take revenge. Get ‘em back" or "It’s okay for you to look at that porn site; after all your spouse won’t give you what you want, so go ahead.”
Is Satan a Real Person?
Peter 5:8 (AMP) says, “Be sober [well balanced and self-disciplined], be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion [fiercely hungry], seeking someone to devour.” Any time we’re isolated, we’re a prime target for attack. It’s hard to fend off someone or some thing by ourselves; we can be easily overpowered.

In the New Testament, there was a great pastor named Timothy who pastored the Ephesian church. The Apostle Paul tell us where Timothy got his start in 2 Timothy 1:5 - “I am reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice…and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.”
No Perfect Moms
The true significance of Mother’s Day can be summed up this way: God used your mother to bring you into this life because He has a specific purpose for you. God knew the exact DNA he needed to create a unique you, and that took your Mom, not someone else's Mom. There may be some like you, but there is no one who is a carbon copy of you. Even identical twins are not identical.

What's the Big Deal About Easter?
Easter Proves What Jesus Christ Said Was True
Easter proves once and for all what Jesus Christ said was true: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.” (John 11:25-26 NIV).
“Because I live, you also will live.” (John 14:19)
Jesus’ resurrection is the only permanent return to life. Everyone else who had been raised to life in the Bible died again. Jesus rose and never died again. No other person or claimed prophet who died is alive today.
Two Words To Understand About Easter
* Eternity. The one thing we can all agree on, no matter what your religion or faith or philosophy is: all of us will die a physical death. While it doesn’t matter what religion or faith you follow to know that we all die a physical death, what does matter is to know what happens to you after you die a physical death.
*
Forgiven. Forgiven is what you can expect and what you receive the moment you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
Easter is a celebration of the triumph of true life over death when you accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Adrian Rogers once said, “Jesus is to your spirit as the blood of Jesus is to your life.”

The Next Event in God's Prophetic Plan
Before Jesus’ second coming, first will come the rapture of the church. Rapture means, “The Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive, and are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.” That’s Paul speaking in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17.

How Do I Know I Am Really Saved?
Are you really saved as a Christian?
How do I know I am really saved? If you consider yourself a Christian, have you ever wondered if you are really saved for eternal life in Heaven? A lot of believers doubt their salvation because they don’t see any signs of real faith in their lives.
Doubt
You would think Christians should never doubt their decision to follow Christ, but the Bible actually encourages Christians to examine themselves to see if they are truly “in the faith”. 2 Corinthians 13:5 (NLT) says, “Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves...Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.”
Checklist
God has given us a checklist for how Christians can know for sure that they have eternal life in heaven, and it’s found in 1 John 1:3. Take look at the list there.

The Most Dividing Question in the World
The Most Dividing Question
The most dividing question in the world is, "What are you going to do about Jesus?" Have you ever noticed just the mention of Jesus upsets people? Luke 12 beginning in verse 52 Jesus says, “From now on there will be five in one family divided against each other…father against son…son against father… mother against daughter…daughter against mother… mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” That happened when Christ was on earth, and it's still happening today.
What Matters Most
But what matters most is where you are going to spend eternity, not who’s against who on earth. Jesus knew there would be division because of Him. And we have free will to make the choice: do we accept Christ or not? We either stand with Christ and spend eternal life in Heaven with Him as our reward, or we deny Christ and spend eternal life in Hell.

Why do resolutions become disillusions? Using will power, instead Holy Spirit power, is why New Year's resolutions quickly become New Year's disillusions. Right before Jesus ascended into Heaven, He said in Acts 1:8, “...You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you…”

What’s the Difference Between Reputation and Character?

God is interested in more than just your reputation. Think of the many people you’ve heard about over the years who had a great reputation but later RUINED that reputation with a moral failure, drugs, alcohol, theft, domestic violence, or something else. Reputation is what we see of someone in the daylight, but CHARACTER is what goes on behind closed doors that NO one sees except God. Reputation is external whereas character is internal. No one can change someone’s heart but God, not even you! In Ezekiel 36:26 in the Good News Translation, God said to the Israelites: “I will give you a new heart and a new mind. You’ve Been Lied To If You’ve Been Told This

I have bad news for you. If someone told you, “You’ll never change. We need the POWER of the Holy Spirit, and you can have that same POWER that raised Jesus Christ from the dead. Acts 1:8 says "You will receive POWER when the Holy Spirit comes on you.” How do you GET the power? Just pray this prayer: “Jesus, come into my heart…I make you my Lord and Savior…Forgive me of my sins.” If you just prayed that prayer and you REALLY meant it, and only God knows your heart, you can ask the Holy Spirit to help you when you are in trouble.

Did You Know That God Does Not Punish You?

Did you know that God does not PUNISH you? That’s because if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, all of your sins - past, present, and future - have already been paid for. Notice that I said “IF” you have accepted Christ, your sins were nailed to the cross when Jesus was crucified. If God were to punish you again, that’s like “double jeopardy”, being tried for the same crime twice in criminal court. God CORRECTS us, but he does not PUNISH us. He will use PAIN to correct us if we CONTINUE to act in sinful ways and refuse to turn from that sin. If God did NOT discipline, He would not be a caring Father. Just as we should lovingly discipline our children for their well-being, so does our heavenly Father lovingly correct His children for THEIR benefit. That’s you and me.
