The HOP (Homeownership Podcast) Episode 43: Why Today's Hot Seller's Market won't Lead to a Crash in the Near Future
Play • 7 min

David reports on interest rates, which went up slightly to 3.375 for conforming 30-year fixed loans and to 3.125 for non-conforming jumbo loans.  Last week in Santa Barbara, there were more listings than pendings and a number of sellers dropped their prices after being listed for only about a week.  (David surmised it may have been because they were overpriced to begin with--and not based on comparables.)  David also explained why today's market is so very different from what led to the real estate crash and foreclosures in 2008.  Listen to the entire episode to learn why!  David Charles Allen
