Emotional intelligence is more than growing as an emotional being; it involves understanding how you operate and how those around you operate. To elevate the role of emotional intelligence at work, we’ve got to understand the four basic components of emotional intelligence. 

  1. Self-awareness
  2. Self-management
  3. Awareness of others
  4. Relationship management
