The Trans Sporter Room with pioneer marathoner Megan Youngren
Play • 42 min

As the IOC decides for the first time in history to postpone the Olympic Summer Games, transgender marathoner Megan Youngren beams up from Alaska, fresh from making history of her own. While she didn't make TeamUSA, she is the first out trans woman in the world to compete in the Olympic trials as a woman, and the first-ever out transgender athlete to complete the Olympic trials. Megan chats with Dawn and Karleigh about her landmark run, coping with chronic pain and with the coronavirus, trans athlete inclusion, and about her running partner — her dog! Megan also talks about her transition 9 years ago. She is absolutely obsessed with the VR game Half-Life: Alyx, and like us, is a fan of HBO's Westworld.
