091 Shelly Aaron Interviews Patricia—We’re All In The Perfect Place, At The Perfect Time—2 Year Anniversary Episode
TITLE Shelly Aaron Interviews Patricia—We’re All In The Perfect Place, At The Perfect Time—2 Year Anniversary Episode GUEST Shelly Aaron interviews Patricia Young EPISODE OVERVIEW Setbacks often feel terrible in the moment, but they often push us in a new direction. Something that felt devastating opened a door that led me to work with Highly Sensitive People, creating a podcast, and doing work that I LOVE. Success is often more about the process, which can lead to a great outcome. In this 2-year anniversary episode, Shelly asks about the bumps and fears I had, and we talk about play, perfectionism, self-care, and I share a bit about my childhood, and an exciting offer I’ve had. PODCAST INTERVIEWER As a current yoga teacher, health coach & bodyworker, I’ve spent the last 15 years of my career, passionately coaching individuals to exceed their goals…which has ultimately led me to this amazing work of video and audio production. If you’re a yoga teacher, trainer, or entrepreneur thinking about creating your own audio or video productions, but need some assistance in getting started, we should talk. I offer services from just getting started to getting ready to launch. From podcasts to teaching videos, I’ll show you how to produce your own or we can bring your production to life together. PODCAST HOST Patricia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Coach. She knows what it’s like to feel like an outcast, misfit, and truthteller. Learning about the trait of being a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP), helped Patricia rewrite her history with a deeper understanding, appreciation, and a sense of self-compassion. She created the podcast Unapologetically Sensitive to help other HSPs know that they aren’t alone, and that being an HSP has amazing gifts, and some challenges. Patricia works online globally working individually with people, and she teaches Online Courses for HSPs that focus on understanding what it means to be an HSP, self-care, self-compassion, boundaries, perfectionism, mindfulness, communication, and creating a lifestyle that honors us LINKS Shelly’s Links: Shelly Aaron Productions—https://www.shellyaaron.com/ Patricia’s Links: Episode 90: Being Present to Your Process with Jo Beckwith, AKA Footless Jo-- https://unapologeticallysensitive.com/episode-90-being-present-to-your-own-process-with-jo-beckwith-aka-footless-jo/ HSP Online Course--https://unapologeticallysensitive.com/hsp-online-groups/ Podcast Survey-- https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe-fAYIyFgVb0VHlDorfm8ZdXClCcYDlv0cSP2RXZSZY16SIQ/viewform Receive the top 10 most downloaded episodes of the podcast-- https://www.subscribepage.com/e6z6e6 To write a review in itunes: * click on this link https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/unapologetically-sensitive/id1440433481?mt=2 * select “listen on Apple Podcasts” * chose “open in itunes” * choose “ratings and reviews” * click to rate the number of starts * click “write a review” Website--www.unapologeticallysensitive.com Facebook-- https://www.facebook.com/Unapologetically-Sensitive-2296688923985657/ Closed/Private Facebook group Unapologetically Sensitive-- https://www.facebook.com/groups/2099705880047619/ Closed/Private Facebook group for therapists and healers-- https://www.facebook.com/groups/208565440423641/ Instagram-- https://www.instagram.com/unapologeticallysensitive/ Youtube-- https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOE6fodj7RBdO3Iw0NrAllg/videos?view_as=subscriber Tik Tok-- https://www.tiktok.com/@hsppodcast e-mail-- unapologeticallysensitive@gmail.com Show hashtag--#unapologeticallysensitive Shelly Aaron Productions—https://www.shellyaaron.com/ Music-- Gravel Dance by Andy Robinson www.andyrobinson.com

Charles Groenhuijsen (Part 2) - Fake News, Keeping Hope Alive, and Will Donald Trump Win?
For nearly 40 years, my guest today, Charles Groenhuijsen, has been a beloved and reliable figure in Dutch news media. In the mid-80s, Charles became the youngest chief correspondent ever to be stationed in Washington D.C. for Dutch television, overseeing all US news. In the 90s, he became anchor man of NOVA and the political program Het Capitool, the two most important news shows on Dutch television. In 1996 Charles returned to the United States and was appointed Bureau-chief for NOS tv and radio based in Washington D.C. Nowadays he  is an independent writer, speaker and consultant who has written many columns and a number of bestselling books on American culture. Listen to Part 1 of this episode first for a fascinating discussion on media optimism, the actually encouraging state of the world, and Charles' thoughts on the US elections and what Americans really want. In Part 2, listen as we discuss: * Advice to our children - don't listen to us parents! * Young generations and their different types of relationships * On gay marriages and whether marriage will last after dating apps * Social media, the good and bad, and if Netflix is good for our world * The changing Fortune 500 and how even the most major companies eventually die * How the individual and the global are of equal importance * The leaders who have given us hope and inspire us * JFK: "We don't do it because it's easy. Why do we lose motivation in our jobs? How can we create a space of belonging and inclusion? What are the best ways to give and receive feedback? Liz Fosslien answers all of these questions, and more, in this thoughtful and pertinent interview. As she reveals, emotions in the workplace are not only acceptable—they can actually be incredibly useful in decision making, making connections, and doing great creative work.
