Play • 32 min

Jonas Eriksson was one of FIFA's top referees for eighteen years, before he retired his whistle in 2018. Jonas has an incredible journey which has taken him to the largest stages of soccer, but he is also an entrepreneur, businessman and author, something which has made him a millionaire.  In this episode, Jonas talks about the lonely road to the top, why he quit and what is happening behind the scenes of international top football, which is characterized by corruption & nepotism. He describes the enormous demands placed on the elite referees, the body shaming and weight in procedure, the extreme physical tests and what motivates him to still work although he has made more money than he can spend in a life time.
