What happens if the project becomes a failed implementation, and how do you recover? In this new episode, understand how to use root cause analysis when your plan doesn't work, acknowledge it, and create the next steps to move forward. Key points covered in this episode: ✔️ Testing is a good strategy for recovery if you've had a failure in your system because you may genuinely not know what the problem is. So go back to the drawing board with testing in that area to figure that out much faster. ✔️ The "happy path" in your BC/NAV system happens almost often in the 20 percent, but the critical path is to make sure that you have tested 80 percent of your processes the least, to be realistic about the things that will occur most of the time.  ✔️ Kim Congleton, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Owner of New View Strategies shares that some people don't realize that testing is a skill, and it takes a confident person who likes to break things to be a good tester. "Know that you can also be trained to test. Make sure that you've got a good team that understands what they need to do for testing, understands the different processes to ensure the performance and connections are ready for go-live". ✔️ Doing refresher training after a go-live helps. Teaching the main processes before the actual testing reinforces the training and solidifies that process in their mind.  ✔️ Acknowledge the root cause of what happened. Then, learn from what happened and implement improvements moving forward. Don't let it stall your project, and don't give up. Instead, retrace a little and fix some things and continue moving forward with that progress.  ✔️ Think about the times when this has happened to your company?
