S7 EP3: What Happens During a Business Process Assessment?
At a recent assessment we were facilitating for a company, the new CFO came to the meeting ready to shoot down the proposal because they needed to move quickly with change. He'd worked with other companies who had done process reviews, and he knew that he'd have to prepare a lot of documentation, do business process mapping and flowcharts, and estimated that it would take them about a month just to be ready to meet with us.
Imagine his surprise when we told him that that would not be necessary. We explained to the new CFO that we would have them do simple homework in preparation for our visit.
Like that CFO, are you adamant about pursuing a process review for your organization, thinking you'll waste too many resources and time?

✔ By focusing on pain areas, we don't need to boil the ocean to find what's wrong with a company's business processes.
At 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘄, we aim to help you zero in precisely on the parts of your business that hurt the most. Our review process will help you identify issues and pinpoint where changes are needed, ensuring efficient management is fulfilled by your humans and your ERP system.
✔ Three things we do in a business process assessment
First, we will meet with various members of your team and discuss pain points in detail. Second, we gain insight into the process by sitting with members to observe how the work is done. We will choose a few key processes and concentrate on those. Lastly, we will explore and closely examine how the setup affects the behavior of the system.
✔ Take the time to sit down, list the top 20 issues you're coming up against, and prioritize the ones that are most important to your business.
Doing this exercise will help you identify how you can improve any inefficient processes.
Once you complete the list, reach out to us, and we can take it from there. At New View, we can provide a consultation to assess the issues and come up with a plan to ensure your business is running as efficiently as possible - all you have to do is send an email over to info@getyournewview.com.
