Woojin Kim, MD, is Chief Medical Officer at Equium Intelligence, a start-up he co-founded in intelligent, data-driven resource management. He is also a musculoskeletal radiologist at the VA Palo Alto, CA. Dr. Kim was the Chief Medical Information Officer at the Healthcare Division of Nuance Communications from 2016 to 2019. He was a co-founder of Montage Healthcare Solutions, acquired by Nuance in 2016. Previously, Dr. Kim had served as interim Chief of the Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging, Director of Center for Translational Imaging Informatics, and Chief of Radiography at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Kim has been an active member in imaging informatics within various societies, including ACR, SIIM, and RSNA, focusing on data mining, analytics, and machine learning.

A conversation with Kelvin Burton, Martha Henderson, and Graeme McKay from Mercy Ships, an international charity that operates the largest non-governmental ships in the world, providing aid including community health projects. The team discusses the informatics challenges that arise in such a unique environment.
Kelvin Burton joined the IS team at Mercy Ships in East Texas in October 1990. He filled many roles in IS over the years and is currently a Business Analyst in the Organizational Project Management Office. In recent years, it's become increasingly common for patients to access their health records and today our guests Dr. Teresa Martin-Carreras and Rishi Nayyar share their thoughts on this topic.
We'll look at an example of a cloud-based technology that has been implemented to help patients and healthcare enterprises ditch the disc and cut down on the reliance of CDs. Norman Young has been involved with medical imaging product development for the past 20 years. He began his career as a medical imaging software developer at an major academic hospital in Toronto, Canada. That was followed by stints at two RIS/PACS companies. In 2005, he founded ClearCanvas, an open source medical imaging software company, which went on to be acquired by Synaptive Medical in 2014.
